ERP Support Coordinator

The UIT University (UITU) invites applications for “ERP Support Coordinator” to provide functional & technical support of ERP, CMS and other web applications to faculty, students and staff. The incumbent shall have following qualification and experience:

Qualification:

Computer Science (or relevant) graduate from HEC recognized university

Experience:

Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in implementing ERP/CMS in educational environment as functional consultant and support coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. User Support and Training:

Chairperson / HOD Computer Science

This is senior management position reporting to the Dean and / or Provost. The Chairperson would be responsible for overseeing all the academic and administrative matters of the Department including but not limited to holding BOS meetings, initiate proposals for BOF and Academic Council, revision and updating the curriculum, allocation of courses, facilitation in hiring of faculty members in the department, ensuring performance evaluation of the faculty, resolve course related issues of students, represent the department in different committees of the University and other related works. Academic Leadership

Research and Innovation
  1. To promote the culture of research and publication in the department;

Administrative Management

The IT Department serves as a backbone to all departments to ensure state-of-the-art infrastructure and information system support. It plays an important role in achieving objectives of the University and to create an appropriate interface between students and management through a comprehensive Campus Management System (CMS) which has been gradually been improved to meet the future requirements. The Department is responsible for managing Learning Management System (LMS) used for teaching productivity. It also ensures availability, operations and maintenance of IT and support infrastructure including helpdesk support to meet different IT needs of the University.

In order to strengthen IT Department, the University is looking for a Karachi-based Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead IT operations of the University. This is senior management position reporting to the Vice Chancellor. The CIO would be responsible for overseeing the technology and information systems of the University. The prime responsibility of CIO is to continue to maintain and improve the University’s internal technology processes as a way of maximizing departments’ productivity and making complex tasks more achievable through automation.

Must have 5-7 years’ relevant experience as Assistant/Deputy Controller of Examination or in an equivalent position.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Examination Work:
  1. To prepare the draft of Examination Schedules and deadlines in consultation with concerned Faculty/Department Heads/Controller Examination. (Date Sheets, Submission Deadlines, etc);
  2. To prepare and update the track checklist regarding the submissions and follow up of Faculty/Departments regarding Submissions. (Question Paper Submission, Result Submissions, and Scrutiny for Final Exam Paper Report, etc.);
  3. To manage the Adjustments of Exam Schedules (managing Student Time/Course Clashes in Exams, Announcing the Adjustments in Time and Date via SMS and E-Mail to the concerned Student/Faculty/Departments;

Actual Conductance of Examination and Preparation of Results:
  1. To coordinate with the regulatory bodies for all matters concerned with the organization of examination of UITU/UIT;
  2. To manage issues related to issuing date sheet, appointing supervisory staff, allocating examination rooms/labs and issuing admit cards to students;
  3. To make arrangement for the timely issuance of the examination material, instructions to supervisory staff and students and hold their meetings as and when required;
  4. To arrange for the evaluation of answer-sheets in accordance with the planned time schedule for results;
  5. To bring into the notice of the Controller of Examination all cases of infringement of rules of examinations with full report for disposal;
  6. To assist in processing and declaration of semester-wise result;
  7. To ensure that all components of the examinations system in the university follow the rules and policies in true spirit to ensure the same quality standards across the board;
  8. To maintain the records of each component of assessment on regular basis;

Post-Examination work:

Key Responsibilities:

Qualification:

BS degree in media sciences, film studies, cinematography or related field from HEC recognized university.

Experience:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Edit film pieces in a professional way that is invisible to the audience;
  2. Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity;

  14. To develop and manage students’ grievance disposal system;
  15. To interpret and enforce academic policies and regulations of the University, HEC, PEC and NCEAC;
  16. To be part of the Registration, Credits, and Graduation Council, Calendar Committee, Registration Committee, Grade Appeal Committee for undergraduate students, Commencement Committee and other councils and committees as per Act;
  17. To compile and analyze enrolment data and advises students on how to meet graduation requirements and resolves issues related to individual academic records, such as credit attribution;
  18. To coordinate with other departments for quality services to the students;
