Dr. Jibran Ali

Dr. Jibran Ali is an accomplished Assistant Professor at UIT University (UITU) with a strong background in Electrical Engineering. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Genova in 2020 and holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, USA, awarded in 2015. His academic journey commenced with a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology in Karachi, Pakistan, in 2012. Dr. Ali specializes in Power Systems, Smart Grid technology, and Virtual Power Plants (VPP), drawing from extensive industrial, research, and academic experiences.

His professional trajectory includes roles as a Technical Specialist Expert at Enel Produzione, Pisa, Italy, from January 2017 to January 2020, and as a Research Assistant at CISTER Real-Time Systems Lab in Porto, Portugal, from April 2016 to October 2016. He also served as a Lecturer (Ad-hoc) at DHA Suffa University, Karachi, Pakistan, from January 2016 to April 2016 and as a Research Assistant at FREEDM Systems Center, North Carolina, USA, throughout 2015. Dr. Ali's industry exposure includes training at National Refinery Limited, Karachi, Pakistan, and an internship at Pakistan State Oil, Karachi, Pakistan.

He is committed to ongoing professional development, holding basic membership in the Pakistan Engineering Council since March 2013 and participating in various international training programs in countries such as Spain, France, the UK, Italy, and Germany. His research contributions are substantial, with publications in prestigious journals and conference proceedings. These publications span diverse topics in Electrical Engineering, including virtual power plants, reactive power compensation, voltage stability, and more, demonstrating his dedication to advancing the field. Dr. Ali's academic achievements include being a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship, the Marie Curie Scholarship, and successful project supervision at UITU. His impressive academic background, research contributions, and scholarships underscore his significance in the Electrical Engineering domain.
