Engr. Dr. Rana Javed Masood is an accomplished Assistant Professor at UIT University (UITU), bringing over twelve years of diverse experience across various organizations. Before joining UITU, he served as a Lab Engineer at the NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology in Multan, Pakistan. Dr. Masood holds a Ph.D. in Control Theory and Engineering, which he earned from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Nanjing, China. He also completed his Master's in Engineering in Industrial Control and Automation from Hamdard University in Karachi, Pakistan, and obtained his undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering from Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi.
Dr. Masood is an active member of the Pakistan Engineering Council and the Association of Engineers. His commitment to professional development is evident in his participation in numerous training programs and workshops. He has attended events covering a wide range of topics, including MATLAB, Simulink, academic online events, hardware-in-loop testing, and various seminars and lectures on topics related to control systems and automation.
In terms of research, Dr. Masood has a robust background in control theory and engineering. His research interests span areas such as model-free adaptive control, virtual reference feedback tuning, and industrial automation and control systems. He has contributed to various publications, including articles in reputable journals like Science China Technological Sciences, Sensors, and Measurement and Control, among others. His research work reflects his dedication to advancing the field of control theory and its applications. Dr. Masood's achievements include receiving the Ignite FYP Grant for a project on "Automatic Solar Panel Lamination and Characteristics" and being recognized as the Most Innovative Design Award recipient at an International Aerial Robotics Competition. His impressive academic and research journey makes him a valuable asset to UIT University's faculty.
